On the Taronga zoo trip, I had to pick one mammal and write about where it lives, it's features and lots more. My mammal is a New Zealand fur seal.
The Fur Seals scientific name is Arctocephalus forsteri
The New Zealand Fur Seal has flippers which helps them swim through the water. they also have a tail at the end of their body which helps them glide through the water. They also have fur covering their bodies to keep them warm when in cold weathers. The size of the seal at the zoo was nearly a meter long and the height of nearly 50CM.
Here is a labelled photo of it's habitat. The seal can live on land and water.
